Preparation

  • Remove any pin bones from the salmon using tweezers.
  • Cut the salmon into bite-sized pieces, about 1.5 inches each.
  • Pat the salmon pieces dry with paper towels.
  • Season the salmon with salt, pepper, and any desired flavorings.

Cooking

  • Heat a heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  • When the oil shimmers, add salmon pieces, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes until a crust forms, then flip and cook until reaching an internal temperature of 125°F.
  • Remove from heat and let rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.

Notes

These salmon bites can be served with dipping sauces or over salads. Store leftovers in airtight containers for up to 3 days.
