  • 1 pound ground beef Use lean ground beef for healthier rollups.
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced Fresh garlic works best.
  • 1 tablespoon butter For sautéing the garlic and meat.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can substitute with mozzarella or pepper jack for variations.
  • 1 package of refrigerated crescent roll dough

Optional Toppings

  • pickles, mustard, and ketchup Add according to personal preference.

Preparation and Cooking

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  • Add ground beef, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned.
  • Remove from heat and mix in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  • Place a spoonful of the beef mixture at the wide end of each triangle and roll it up.
  • Place the rollups on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Serve these rollups warm right out of the oven. They pair well with a side of fries, coleslaw, or a fresh salad. To store leftovers, place the rollups in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or oven until warmed through.
