A simple and flavorful chicken recipe that transforms ordinary chicken into a restaurant-worthy meal using just four ingredients: chicken, butter, garlic, and Italian seasoning.

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts (approximately 2 pounds) Chicken thighs can be used for juiciness.
  • 8 tablespoons butter, preferably unsalted Substitute with ghee or olive oil if needed.
  • 8-10 cloves garlic, minced Garlic powder can substitute in a pinch, but fresh is recommended.
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning blend Fresh herbs can replace Italian seasoning.
  • to taste Salt and freshly ground black pepper Be generous with seasoning.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels, season with salt and pepper.
  • Let the chicken rest at room temperature for 15 minutes.

Garlic Preparation

  • Finely mince the garlic cloves and let rest for 5-10 minutes.

Cooking

  • Melt half the butter (4 tablespoons) in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the chicken breasts to the skillet, cooking undisturbed for 5-7 minutes.
  • Flip each chicken breast and add the remaining butter, cooking for another 5-7 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low, add garlic and Italian seasoning, and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Baste the chicken with garlic-infused butter throughout.
  • Remove from heat, and let rest in the pan for 3-5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, reduce butter and add veggies during the final cooking stage. Meal prep well by storing chicken and sauce separately.
