Preparation

  • Trim excess fat from chicken breasts and place in a single layer at the bottom of the crock pot.
  • Cut the room-temperature cream cheese into small cubes and distribute evenly over the chicken.
  • Sprinkle the ranch seasoning packet evenly over the cream cheese and chicken.

Cooking

  • Cover the crock pot with a tight-fitting lid and cook on LOW for 4-6 hours without lifting the lid.

Shredding and Serving

  • Once cooked, remove chicken from the crock pot and shred using two forks.
  • Return the shredded chicken to the crock pot and stir to combine with the sauce.

Notes

For best flavor, let the cream cheese soften completely. Avoid generic ranch packets for better taste.
