  • 1-2 packets dry ranch seasoning mix Or homemade ranch seasoning.
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Provides creaminess and tanginess.
  • 1-2 cups chicken broth Helps create moisture and prevents burning.
  • 2-4 cloves garlic, minced Enhances flavor depth.
  • 2-4 tablespoons butter Adds richness.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For searing chicken, if desired.
  • To taste salt and pepper For seasoning.

Homemade Ranch Seasoning (Optional)

  • 2 tablespoons dried parsley
  • 1 tablespoon dried dill
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place the chicken in the bottom of your crockpot.
  • Consider searing the chicken in olive oil for added flavor before adding it to the crockpot.
  • Sprinkle ranch seasoning and minced garlic over the chicken.
  • Add chicken broth and cover.

Cooking

  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken shreds easily.
  • Shred the chicken in the crockpot and add cream cheese, stirring until melted.
  • Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.

Notes

These recipes are forgiving; they can cook for an extra 30-60 minutes without impacting flavor. You can prepare ingredients the night before for convenience.
